Want to try a new exciting PE activity for your school?
At LiveLoveHoop one of our favourite things to do is share our joy of hulahooping with children at schools! Not only is hula hooping is a fantastic cardio workout – it’s also loads of fun for all ages and a great mindfulness activity too.
Our school hula hooping workshops are a great way for children of all ages to build their self confidence, fitness and hand-eye coordination in a supportive and encouraging environment.
What do we actually do on a school hoop workshop day?
We can customise our hoop workshop days to your individual school, but to give you an idea – we usually take individual classes our to the hall or playground for a short hoop session (from 30-60 mins). Nursery and reception years usually have a shorter session (30 mins) whereas key stage 1 and 2 are longer (45-60 mins).
All classes get to learn fun and simple hula hoop tricks as well as playing fun and silly games. Then at the end they can get inspired with an instructor demo which will leave the kids saying ‘WOW!’.
Where do you travel to?
Although our head office is based in the south coast in Worthing (West Sussex) and Brighton (East Sussex), we have trained instructors all around the UK so we can travel to a lot of places. In the last few years we have provided hula hoop workshops at schools in London, Surrey, Hampshire, Bath, Bristol
Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Devon, Dorset, Essex, Manchester, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Leicestershire, Oxford, Somerset, and Suffolk.
Can we use any funding to pay for your hoop workshop?
A lot of schools book us in using the PE and sport premium for primary schools funding from Uk Government and we are happy to talk to you about how our workshops meet that criteria.
How do I book you for a workshop?
The best way is to email us and let us know where you’re based, what size school you are and approximately when you’d like a school hula hoop workshop. Then we can send you a quote and get you all booked in!
